Cleo Griffin Collection

The Archives hold a digital copy of a small collection of letters written by Between the Rivers resident Sanford Cleo Griffin (1923-2000).  The collection was donated to the Archives by a Dover resident, but after the items were digitized, they were transferred to Griffin family members.

Included in the digital-only collection are:

• an undated photograph of Cleo Griffin in uniform
• a copy of the Airman's Creed
• letters from Cleo Griffin to his parents, spanning the dates April 1943 - July 1943, written from Camp Joseph T. Robinson, Arkansas
• a postcard dated Sept. 3, 1947, from Vancouver, WA
• a postcard dated Sept. 4, 1948, from Toppenish, WA
• a postcard dated Oct. 11, 1948, from Zanesville, OH
